For resin, flowers should be no more 4-5 days old to achieve the highest quality results. The fresher the blooms, the better the final preservation will be. We also gladly accept already dried flowers for all preservation options. For shadowboxes, flowers must be received withing 3-4 days. For pressed flower frames, flower must be received less than 3 days due to the time sensitiveness of getting the flowers in the press.

Flower preservation is a multi-step process that requires time and careful attention. For resin and shadowbox orders, your flowers will dry in silica gel for 3-4 weeks. Pressed flower frames require a different and more lengthy drying process of being in the flower press for 8 weeks. From start to finish resin order turnaround time is 6-8 weeks. Shadowboxes are 4-5 weeks. Pressed flower frames take 10-12 weeks.

After funeral services, flowers typically become the responsibility of the family. To help ease this process, I’m happy to work directly with the funeral home and can arrange pickup from funeral home, the burial site, or the family’s home- depending on what feels more comfortable and works best for your family.

Shipping costs are not included in the listed prices. Clients are responsible for shipping cost to Elegant Blossoms and return shipping back to the client. It is the clinets responsibility to contact their local carrier for quotes on shipping cost. These will vary depending on the size, weight of flowers, and the distance being shipping. Overnight shipping is required per contract.

Yes — but timing matters.
For pressed flower frame orders, flowers must be received by me within 3 days of your wedding date to ensure proper preservation.
For resin orders, I recommend shipping within 3 days for the best quality. However, I can typically still accept flowers that are 4-5 days old. though results may vary depending on their condition. The fresher the flowers, the better the final outcome.

First — don’t throw them away!
Keep your flowers in fresh water in a cool, air-conditioned space away from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate them in a standard refrigerate household fridge, as this can cause damage and shortened lifespan of your flowers. Do not leave them in the car overnight. Do not spray anything on them.
-
When properly cared for, your preserved flowers can last for many years. While natural flowers will always change slightly over time, keeping your piece out of direct sunlight, heat, and high humidity will help extend its lifespan. All resin will naturally amber (slightly yellow) over time.
For pressed flower frames, small particles or natural flower debris may settle within the frame over time.

Pressed flower frames are highly detailed, labor-intensive pieces. Most of the flowers are deconstructed in the flower pressing stages and completely reconstructed petal by petal when needed. Blotting paper is changed out every 2-4 days over the course 8 weeks in the flower press. The wood frames also feature two sheets of museum art glass with high UV protection for unmatched clarity and preservation.
